Not able to activate Stellar Desktop Client Wallet

Hello,
I downloaded Stellar Desktop Client wallet. But while trying to transfer some XLM from the exchange CEX.io to this wallet, I got the message "Invalid address". On enquiry with the exchange, they said, the wallet is inactive on blockchain and gave me this link:

Please help me as to how can I activate this wallet.

It looks like the exchange does not support sending xlm to a inactive account, so you have to active your account first. Please ask your friend to send 1 XLM(or more) to your address to active it.

I am facing the same issue. I am unable to activate my stellar account. I am trying to transfer 1 XLM from Koinex exchange but it is asking for Memo. I don't have Memo for my inactive stellar wallet. Can anyone help in this regard.

Saurabht89 You can put anything in the memo (e.g. 0000) if it's your personal wallet and not another exchange.
