My co-developer and I are working on a project named Lumens.PH. It will be the first Lumens web wallet that also supports XLM to PHP and PHP to XLM exchange.
Users can deposit or withdraw Peso via popular local banks such as BDO, BPI, and Unionbank. Once the Peso tokens are in, users can have it exchanged to Lumens at the current exchange rate.
The goal of the projects are:
1.) To provide a very easy way to buy and sell Lumens in the Philippines. Right now, the popular way is to buy Bitcoins, and have it exchanged to Lumens in popular exchanges such as Binance. We would want to cut the hassle and go buy and sell directly;
2.) To promote the use of Stellar as Peso Tokens. Right now, almost every financial site and applications have their own implementation of their Peso "tokens". A popular and well-trusted Peso Token would remove the need of middleware API's for inter-company, and hopefully inter-bank transfers. This would lower the cost for implementing loyalty cards and other cards that can be backed by the Philippine Peso.
