Hi all, my name is Nuclear and I am a Software Engineer. I'm currently working in the Payments space in the gaming industry. I decided to take some time in the evenings after work to explore what the Stellar network has to offer and what I can build on it.
Twitch (https://twitch.tv) is one of the largest live-streaming platforms today, with millions of content creators/broadcasters and 100MM monthly active users. Many of the content creators are able to make a living off of Twitch, through donations, subscriptions, and other monetization methods.
My goal is to introduce yet another monetization mechanism to help these content creators succeed and do what they love for a living.
I have built an MVP called NovaBot that integrates the Stellar network with a live-streaming platform so that users can donate Lumens to content-creators on Twitch via chat messages. I built a IRC chat bot that when enabled, can listen for commands on your Twitch channel to facilitate Stellar donations as well as provide other information.
NovaBot currently supports Login with Twitch, depositing XLM to the bot, enable/disable bot from your channel, a specific set of commands (http://novabot.me/commands) and will soon support withdrawals as well.
I will finish implementing withdrawals & enable https before the build challenge deadline and improve some of the backend/infrastructure. I have a lot of features planned after the deadline as well, such as integrating alerts and a donation history!
