nick0816 Well I have an asset I've been wanting to create an anchor for. I planned on finishing the website, starting an airdrop/giveaway and then starting the anchor for people to trade it.

Beyond that I think it would be great to have anchors for other popular currencies that haven't been listed yet. Another idea I've been thinking of is Anchor as a Service. I've seen Federation as a Service but not the total package. This would help less technical people be able to create an asset and allow it to be traded on the decentralized exchange. It might be something businesses could find useful as well.

Tman91 you are talking about a token. You don't need to create an asset for a token that has been issued on stellar already.

ah I see.. but I dont think you have to create an anchor to just issue an asset and let users trade it on the SDEX.. What would an anchor do in the process? Or do I get something wrong?

As others have pointed out, I'm not sure you need an Anchor for what you described. Your custom asset can be traded on the DEX. Stellar could always use more Anchors, however.
