Globasos - Global banking system on Stellar
The plan:
#1 Create some placeholder accounts on Stellar testnet (?) that represent important institutions of the global financial system (the Fed, ECB, BoJ, BoE, SNB, PBoC, IMF, CLS, Worldbank, DB, SG, JPM, GS, HSBC, BoA, UBS, regional banks, ...)
#2 issue Stellar assets that represent deposits at those institutions (e.g. $13.785 trillion)
#3 create trustlines between those accounts to represent correspondent bank connections and credit lines.
#4 perform some example credit transfers
#4 build a web page (open source) that displays the relevant information
Potential benefits:
- helps Stellar community and other people to better understand the existing financial system
- helps financial institutions to better understand the power and concepts of Stellar
- might be a baseline for others to build their models and hacks on it
What's your opinion? (I'm asking before I start investing some time into this)
