What is Intrupay
Intrupay is a solution that would enable anyone, anywhere in the world to send funds using Stellar lumens and other cryptocurrenices to any bank account in Africa (Starting from Nigeria, kenya and Ghana). We are building a payment gateway that is utilising blockchain technology to disrupt the way global remittances are sent to Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana.
We are building a system that eliminates the immoral transaction fees of sending money via cross border remittances solutions and their outrageous delay times.
Using intrupay to send money to africa, is cheaper, more convienent and faster.
Why Intrupay, Why Africa
Due to many reasons, Africans have to leave their motherland to other countries in the world, this migrant populations tend to settle down overseas and from time to time send money home to loved ones in Africa. This remittances are faced with lots of challenges especially high fees (of 9.5% up to 20% in some channels) or series delays in the transfer, this could really be frustrating.
Sending funds across African countries (South Africa to Zambia, Malawi, Botswana and Mozambique ) have recorded the highest average transfer fees in the world.
Some African countries like Liberia, Lesotho and Gambia, global remittances account for over 20% of the GDP. This goes to show how remittances are important to Africa growth, hence more efficient solutions are required in this space.
Intrupay integrating with the Stellar blockchain will create a new and better way for Africa to access global remittances in a peer to peer manner.
Using the Blockchain, we have reduced fees by over 1000% and boosted the speed of this transactions drastically, we are talking minutes.
What's more this solution would let Africans pay bills and buy utilities using the Intrupay solution.
Roadmap
Phase 1- Proof of concept
For a proof of concept, Intrupay would be built syncing Stellar, Bitcoin, litecoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin cash Blockchains to enable people send funds using this coins (BTC, LTC, XLM, ETH) to any bank account in Africa.
Phase 2-Building on the Stellar Blockchain
At this stage of the project we would restructure Intrupay to fully integrate with the Stellar Blockchain. In this phase, tokens would be issued which will enable peer to peer transfers within the Intrupay network, this tokens would be extended to people make payments, buy utilities and make generally settlements. Automating money within the intrupay network would be possible using the tokens. In this phase other p2p financial services could be added like lending, trade financing and crowdfunding.
