The journey through the last three Stellar Build Challenges in 2017 was a roller coaster ride for the Clic.World team, from the Social Banking app, that was launched into the market last year in conjunction with the first social bank, the eSACCO (www.esacco.co.ug) as the eSACCO Plus banking app, to the first Stellar ATM and the Cliix and CliixPOS apps released only a few days ago.
Since the last SBC, where the Clic.World eSACCO Plus app was one of the winners, we have continued to refine the app with more functionality and given more focus on expanding the related product suite.
An additional vault account using the Stellar based multi sig Personal Cluster Authentication was added in all the app wallets, in addition to the decentralised Clic.World Fiat-to-Stellar-to-Fiat Switch which drives the Stellar ATM, ClicTransfer for cross border remittances and ClicPay for mobile payments.
The following are the module now available in the Clic.World product suite :-
1. Clic.World Social Banking app (eSACCO Plus) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mutual.newclic&hl=en_GB This app is only available white labeled.
2. Cliix app - a Stellar token manager app with ClicPay included. This is a simplified single store of value version of the Social Banking app, and are being used in countries prior to launching the full Social banking app and Switch. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.clic.clicapp This app will be marketed under the Cliix brand, but is also available white labeled.
3. CliixPOS app which can work stand-alone with Stellar tokens, or connected to a local currency fiat-to-Stellar switch allow merchants to receive ClicPay payments, either online or off-line in either local fiat or XLM https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=clic.clicposx This app will be marketed under the Cliix brand, but is also available white labeled.
4. Cliix Decentralised Switch - this is the switch behind the Stellar ATM https://twitter.com/ellaqiang9/status/947737527036678144 now also driving the CliixPOS, ClicPay and ClicTransfer
5. ClicPay - this function allows for QR based mobile payments at a merchant using the CliixPOS app, with an e-commerce library available for shopping carts. Its also available as an API for existing banking apps and wallets.
6. ClicTransfer - allows users to send money like email, removing the distinction between local and cross border money transfers. Both fiat to fiat and fiat to Stellar token transfers are done using XLM as base transfer of value using *clic.world Stellar federated addresses. Sending money direct to an email address or phone no is also available. Its also available as an API for existing banking apps and wallets.
7. Personal Cluster Authentication (PCA) - a unique implementation of the Stellar multi sig facility to provide an additional security layer on a second vault account now included in all the app wallets.
To allow people to see these apps in action and to help with feedback and testing we have launched a Clic.World TestNet at http://www.clicmonkey.xyz/ where you will find most of the current production apps using the Stellar TestNet including a basic Stellar token creator. We are busy setting up a Social Banking TestNet where users can test the full social banking eco system - should be ready in the next week or so.
