PacketBook is a stellar wallet that utilizes the Twilio api to allow users to send and receive Stellar without needing an internet connection. This was inspired by my work with The Mifos Initiative and the research I did into services such as MPesa. In the developing world, basic cell phone penetration is very high, but internet usage rates are still lacking. PacketBook can be used to bring basic transaction accounts to the Two Billion Adults that are unbanked worldwide.
PacketBook won a category prize at NWHacks 2018 (largest hackathon in Western Canada), beating out 39 other projects.
Currently in private beta, public beta will be available by March 15.
