Some users have expressed their concerns about having to login with their private key on Stroopy.org

I am happy to announce that you can now login using just your public key instead of your private key. Your private key will only be required if you wish to send payments.

Glad you love the name ?
By the way, Stroopy now also shows Offers, Transactions & Operations next to Payments.

In an effort to make the wallet available to as many people as possible, Stroopy is now backwards compatible for older browsers that do not support ES6.

This should make it easier to reach the unbanked in less fortunate countries.

Hi Stroopy! Your wallet is fantastic and so easy. I'd love to chat about where you're headed. I will reach out on github—keep up the fantastic work =)

What's the difference with what the official and more than sufficient "Stellar Account Viewer" ?

The Stellar Account Viewer is definitely good enough for accessing your assets on the network. There are some differences however.

For instance Stroopy.org gives users the ability to view their assets without having to provide their secret key. Your secret key is only required for actions that require signing a transaction. Also Stroopy.org is built with both desktop users and mobile users in mind (as you can see from the image above) whereas the Stellar Account Viewer was built more with a desktop user in mind.
Stroopy.org works on any browser, even old browsers that do not support ES6. This is important to be able to reach people that sometimes still rely on old devices, especially in less fortunate countries.

This is just the beginning, more features are on the way.
