Requestky is an app based marketplace for local businesses and will be integrating Stellar smart contracts to carry out the agreement. “Blockchain app’s adoption is still limited due to the complex nature of blockchain in its infancy”1. As such, we believe the general adoption of smart contracts powered with utility tokens can be an easier transition if performed through a familiar source, ie user friendly app.

In 2017, we transitioned from a delivery service to an all-inclusive online marketplace which is currently available in both the Apple App Store and Android Store.
Our vision is to allow locally owned businesses to compete with large corporation owned platforms.
Our vision is to make the playing field level for everyone.
We have laid down a marketplace framework in a familiar, user friendly form (ie: phone application) and are now preparing to integrate smart contracts powered by a utility token on the Stellar ecosystem. During registration, local businesses list their own price and fees which is used in the agreement with the customer. Local businesses are only visible to the surrounding local customers based off their GPS allowing for only relevant search results. At the completion of the agreement the users are transferred the respective utility tokens.
The journey:
We have always been interested in local businesses and saw firsthand how difficult it is to establish an online presence. For landscapers it was difficult if not impossible for them to be found online or if you were a taxi company owner you now have to work under a corporation umbrella that sets your pay and jobs.
During the current quickly advancing technology era, local businesses have fallen victim to large corporations.
We can change that and allow local businesses to be seen as individual businesses who adjust their own fees. This will allow healthy competition in a free marketplace to provide the best product or service possible!
