Still eligible for the SBC?

Hello,

We are building a payment service for businesses with lower transaction fees than competing services (paypal, stripe, etc) on the stellar network. As well as offering financial services to private individuals for making payments, lending (peer-to-peer) and converting fiat. (Basically a bank on top of the stellar network). Development on this project began during SBC6, we decided to wait for SBC7 to submit because we still had a lot of work to do.

However now I read in the fine print of SBC7: "ICOs, assets, tokens, anchors, and remittance applications are no longer eligible for the Stellar Build Challenge.".

Does that mean our project is not eligible?
Because among other things we are an anchor that issues assets and support remittance payments.

Toto If you are building a high-impact project on Stellar (anchor, exchange, ...) you should apply for the stellar partnership grant: https://www.stellar.org/lumens/stellar-partnership-grant-program/

The grant is much bigger (up to $2,000,000 USD) and is probably more suited than the SBC for your project.

If it’s a service that uses an anchor (as many will), you can still submit - but keep in mind the guidelines: https://www.stellar.org/blog/announcing-the-7th-stellar-build-challenge/

We are strongly encouraging people build within those guidelines. But, we don't want to automatically disqualify something that can grow/benefit the ecosystem."
