Tagcash is a Philippines based central bank regulated E-Money Issuer authorised to issue and run E-Money on permissioned blockchains. (tagcash.com/emi.pdf). We want to make it easier for people abroad to remit Money back home, but also, we want to make it easier for us to sell TagCoin to companies that need it to do things within the TAG platform, since it is nigh on impossible to take payments for it via credit card. Tagcash is also creating an equity crowdfunding platform with secondary exchange, with shares created as tokens within the Tagcash Blockchain. We are considering also offering them on Stellar if there is demand and if local regulations allow it.
We have added Philippines Pesos, and will add Bitcoin to Stellar shortly. We have also issued 10 Billion TagCoin (tagcoin.org) on Stellar as a payment token within Tagcash Wallets. We will add other cryptocurrencies as needed.
By regulations we must keep the Philippines Pesos in the bank to match issued assets. For Bitcoin, we will be issuing 500 BTC on Stellar, and will show the wallet addresses to back that up.
We are just now integrating Stellar into the Tagcash Wallets on web and mobile apps, with managed and private key wallets. Once complete, users will be able to send from EUR or USD directly to PHP, either within our wallet, or from a Tempo or Stronghold Wallet, using USERID or NICKNAME*tagcash.com. Once the PHP hits the user wallet, the user can send onto bank, cash out to remittance centers countrywide, or spend with merchants registered with Tagcash. Our next steps will then be to build a DEX inside the apps, supporting the currencies we anchor.
