The motivation behind Shakeonthis is to build on the vision of a borderless world where money and goods flow freely. Our team envisions an open financial system, where any item can be bought using any currency in seconds. The Stellar network tears down the current barriers of high fees and slow transaction times to enable easy value transfer. Shakeonthis hopes to attract buyers and sellers who share this vision.
Shakeonthis is a next generation ecommerce platform that allows users to buy and sell items using digital assets. Shakeonthis uses the Stellar Network to facilitate transactions. Sellers can list items and engage with buyers in real time.
Items can be priced in over 20 different assets and buyers can pay with any asset they wish. Shakeonthis will handle the exchange automatically. Never before have people from all over the world been able to buy and sell, in any currency, at such a low cost.
Shakeonthis hopes to be the premier ecommerce hub in the new open financial system. We hope to enable more buyers and sellers every day to say, “let’s shake on this.”

Shakeonthis is the first ecommerce site fully integrated with the Stellar network. We allow users to sign in using their native Stellar account and never hold custody of private keys. Shakeonthis promotes usage of the Stellar network as a payment rail for commerce. Users can use their Lumens and other assets to exchange for goods. Sellers can request payment in over 20 different assets and Shakeonthis automatically handles conversion using the Stellar Decentralized Exchange and Pathfinding.
During the checkout process, we did our due diligence to protect all parties.
For the buyer:
We present a clean UI with full asset price transparency. We show balances and how much of each asset would be used to pay for the items in the cart using the cheapest path. This allows the user to make the most informed decision at the point-of-purchase.
For the Seller:
We create the transaction server-side and naturally the buyer signs it client side. We then verify the transaction to make sure no content changed to protect against anomalies such as tampering by the buyer.
The only requirement to use Shakeonthis is a wallet on the Stellar network. Our team is excited about Stellar.org’s mission to build an open financial system and we hope to play a part in pushing that vision to become reality.
