Sending XLM from Bittrex to Stargazer Wallet

Currently in Bittrex when you send Lumen (XLM) to a Stargazer wallet, you select the red (Make withdrawal) icon which brings up the Withdraw screen. The Withdraw screen has several boxes to fill in which include the Address, Quantity, and Tag box. When opening the Stargazer wallet and selecting Receive, the QR Code and Stellar Address appear, along with a choice of generating a Federated address and Requesting a specific amount. I haven' t created a federated address yet and prefer to use the Stellar Address by copying and pasting into the Bittrex Withdraw page. After contacting Bittrex Support and doing some research, I can't find the specific answer as to whether or not I have to fill in the Tag box in the Bittrex Withdraw page. The Stellar Address must be pasted into the Bittrex Address box, but is it also supposed to be pasted into the Tag box?

For sending to regular accounts, you shouldn't need any tag or memo, those are usually only required when sending to exchanges, and other services that use one Stellar account for all users.

Edit: I'm not using Bittrex anymore, but "tag" just might be an arbitrary label for an address. E.g., "my main stellar account", etc..

After reading your response, I felt it was safe to experiment and copy the Stargazer address into both the Tag and Address boxes on Bittrex. Bittrex rejects the withdrawal with the Tag box filled. After leaving the Tag box blank and just copying the Stargazer Address into the Address box on Bittrex, and then confirming the withdrawal through email, the XLM went through in 10 minutes. Thanks for the help!
