How do you feel about a two token system?

When we started building our protocol we had an issue. We wanted to use our tokens for distributing loans - as such making them currency - but knew that with a public token sale our token price would be prone to volatility. So... we adopted a two token system. LOANtoken is what will be sold in our public sale on October 30th and Ledger Credits are internal, non-fungible accounting units used in the system. We have an actor called a credit node who exchanges one for the other (https://medium.com/lendledger/technicalities-q-a-the-lendledger-credit-node-29c9e6b39f04). How are you dealing with the issues of token volatility?

This is a situation that many crypto companies would find themselves in. And there are multiple companies which use 2 tokens in the ETH ecosystem. I will give you a couple of examples:
1) Maker has 2 tokens - the DAI and the MKR tokens. The former is pegged to USD 1 and the latter is a bet on Maker's business
2) Digix has 2 tokens - the DGX and DGD tokens. One stands for a certain amount of Gold (1 gm if I recall correctly) and the other is a bet on the Digix business model

So feel free to use 2 tokens if your business model requires it.

Yes, dual token ecosystems, where one is a security and the other a utility, are in use. Sia and PowerLedger are further examples.

An interesting idea (that I recently heard from https://github.com/lirazsiri) is to create an investor-coin that's completely backed up by reserve, and then use a growing fraction of that reserve to invest in the ecosystem on behalf of the owners.

Or you can do what Monetran did. We made equity in the company available through an SEC Regulation Crowdfunding. We made units available for $1 with a 250 unit minimum. The units consist of a "share" of equity in the company plus a utility token as a perk. At some point, both will be listed on exchanges.

The tokens are backed by financial assets and have value from their inception. The equity units are valuable due to the business paradigm and the value of the method that makes it all possible.
