Summary
Cgig is a peer-to-peer, multi-asset marketplace built from the grounds up for Stellar. It unifies popular features of proven crowd sourcing apps like Fiverr, Upwork, and Gitcoin to allow users to post jobs, list services, and run bounties. Unlike other apps. Cgig is both non-custodial and free of fees. All transactions are tracked on Stellar and referenced in the app. Our goal is to use Stellar to improve the inefficiencies of global crowd sourcing by maximizing the rewards to those who create value- the workers.
Description:
Traditional crowd sourcing apps are highly inefficient with middlemen charging very high fees (20% or more of earnings) while competing with each other to become the exclusive agent for the workers. Cgig's bigger goal is to revolutionize this model by creating a direct peer-to-peer self-regulating economy where workers could 100% of their earnings. To this end all payments are direct from the sender's Stellar wallet to the receiver's. User can use any wallet they want while Cgig uses of federated addresses to facilitate payment and track transactions.

Future Goals
We're looking for ways to decentralize Cgig further- especially the order management system for services and jobs. Parts of Cgig that are reusable have already been turned into open source projects- stellar-pay (high-level abstractions for Stellar) and stellar-ticker. If there's enough interest, we would consider open sourcing more of Cgig, especially the user interface components for Stellar payments.
