Hey guys, I've been developing for Stellar since the day I fell in love with it a couple of years ago and my repos are proof of my feelings. Now the thing is I got really excited about the new Vega project that will try to solve a problem we've been having for decades in latin america and which Europe solved years ago with the introduction of the Euro, that is, different currencies in very similar economies and countries, we're all the same, we produce the same things and we share the same culture, still we have high trading barriers that fallback to dealing with the US Dollar as the main currency.
We know how easy it is to make pathPayments with Stellar to convert from one currency to another, and we know how fast the Stellar Network is and how easy to integrate apps with its ecosystem. Well, that's what I've been doing for the past couple of years and I definitely want to be part of the team that makes that dream come true with Vega. Where do I apply?
About me, I am a 52 years old programmer living in Venezuela with half day blackouts, long gasoline lines, food scarcity, no health system at all, the worst internet connection in the world and people abandoning the country in the millions every year, but I don't want my circumstantial limitations to be a deterrent in my application, when I am inspired I work for long hours till I drop dead only to be resurrected and continue working for more hours, code is my fuel and my motivation, I just love coding in things I know will be world changing, and Vega is one of those things.
