Introduction: For the past few months, Tunisian banks, especially the Central Bank, have been experimenting with blockchain technology. But like any other country, traditional financial institutions are slow at adapting and using new Technologies, but Tunisia has always been open to Blockchain (E-Dinar in 2015, Blockchain summit 2018 in Tunisia, Digital Dinar demonstration by the Central Bank in 2019). But still, none of them are used by mainstream users or Financial Institution. Goals: Issuing the Tunisian dinars on the blockchain with friendly-user app design, to make the benefits of the Stellar blockchain accessible to thousands of new users, from Tunisia and the MENA region, from sending, receiving and exchanging fast and for no cost. Description: Introducing our new wallet and payment app Dinaro. Dinaro enables us to help facilitate for the average person to send, receive, and exchange digital Dinars on Stellar. The app allows the users to generate a wallet address with a federation address of that Public Key, which was created by calling the API of the federation server during the user's sign-up process. To make it easier for the user to transfer and deposit payments, the app features a QR code and an 8 Digit number destination address (Generated during the sign-up process) without requiring them to type the full federation address domain. Dinaro enables new users to access the Stellar ecosystem, by removing complicated barriers that stop them from experiencing its benefits. For a user to use the Tunisian Dinar Asset on the Stellar Blockchain, a KYC procedure is needed at the financial institution. Once passed, the user generates a wallet in the app, the financial institution adds that address in its database with the KYC information, then authorizing "Trust" to its asset for that address and send enough XLM (Per customer) to the user. Once the XLM is received, an activation button will prompt up, and once clicked and confirmed by the user, the Tunisian Dinar Asset is trusted and added to his address, costing him 0.5 XLM during the process. With the XLM left, the user can make thousands of transactions. Currently, Path Payment is in work and will be added to the wallet app, for Tunisian living abroad that currently have difficulties sending back their hard-earned money back home for a lower cost. With a click a button, the user can exchange EURO, USD or GBP issued by the same financial institution on the stellar blockchain to the Tunisian dinar in a matter of seconds, and pay or transfer to other users living in Tunisia. This feature is essential because it's a much-needed feature, possibly making it one of the most popular features. The average person won't have to deal with Public keys, a complicated process of buying XLM, adding and trusting the asset address manually, and keeping a long string of a private key safe (SEP-0005 will be used instead). In case of losing access to the wallet, the financial institution freezes the user's asset and issue the same previous amount of Dinars back to the user. Timeline: 2 to 3 months of development time and testing, but depending on regulations and legal frameworks, could take more time. An update regarding the DEX: We currently tested the DEX and it's working as intended, but we are also taking a deeper look into Path Payment. It seems Path Payment will be more feasible for some situations (Tourists, for example, coming to Tunisia, they don't have to exchange EUR to TNDC, will it be easier for them to spend it directly), but we will have to show it and get regulatory approval, and see if they allow us to do it this way (Even if it's working the same way as the DEX in the background). We are testing Path Payment Strict Receive, because for easier implementation and following regulation, users residing in Tunisia are only allowed to use and receive Tunisian Dinar. Tunisian living abroad and Tourists can receive and spend Hard currencies with no problem.

Welcome [unknown] , We started as a team of 3 people, which 2 of them are outside of Tunisia. We are also working with a Venture builder in Tunisia that is connecting us with a Financial Institution and will provide us with an additional development team that will help us with the business side. Like said in the disclaimer, we are not going to use DNC, DNC is currently used for testing purposes (For the Wallet and a demo). The reason we didn't mention anything about an Anchor, because it will depend on the Financial institution on how they want to implement cashing in and cashing out The Tunisian Dinar issued on Stellar. The user is going to spend the Tunisian Dinar with merchants that accept Dinaro, and they'll transact with each other using the Wallet. Both the user and the merchant will pay a yearly fee to use the services provided by Dinaro. All of this is still in the planning and can be subject to change. The method of issuing and redeeming the Asset will depend on the Financial Institution. We didn't only rebrand the Wallet. The Wallet feature an easy way to trust an asset (Tunisian Dinar) without requiring them to manually copy the issuing address or issue a trust line like shown in the demo, once the XLM is received in the Wallet, an activation button prompts up and the user can activate the Asset. The Wallet features an 8 digit number address, that is connected to a Federation Server's API. When a user generates a Stellar address, the public key of that address is instantly converted to a Federation address, so they will never have to use a public key. We forked a great wallet. The idea is also to provide additional features that hopefully they will find useful, such as path payments and translations (French and Arabic). Path payment and multi-currencies Wallet (EUR, GBP, YEN, USD) are currently in work and a big focus for us. Our ultimate goal is hopefully to help contribute to the Stellar ecosystem while providing a much-needed solution for Tunisians. Very ambitious! I have some questions about this proposal given its broad scope.

How many team members are working on Dinaro?

You are planning to integrate Dinaro with financial institutions in Tinusia. Can you share what progress you have made on making this a reality? How will users spend DNC or redeem DNC to be deposited in their bank account? Anchors are at the heart of this process, yet there is no mention of this in the proposal.

The github repo for Dinaro is currently a fork of Solar Wallet. You have only replaced the solar wallet name with Dinaro and replaced the colour palette thus far. Will you be implementing any new functionality to the app to give us confidence you will fulfill your promises?
