jes I like the idea of a Stellar ICO platform. Wanted to work on something similar (even bought the stellari.co domain name), but don't think I will do anything with it in the end.

With the right tools we could substantially reduce the entry barrier to have an ICO on stellar. I looked at your repository and right now it is only a webpage, it doesn't contain any tools to make running an ICO easier.

In my original idea I wanted to provide a paid platform where I charge, lets say $199/month, and allow the customers to issue an asset on stellar with all tools they would need to distribute the tokens, keep track of them, allow voting, ...

If you provide the right tools and APIs so the ICO can be integrated with other services I can see a lot of potential there.

That's nice. The page is nice, the idea is not bad. But there are no guarantees --or even sufficient evidence -- you are actually going to buy a Villa and subsequently share its profits with the VIL holders.

You doesn't even say how many VILs will be needed to buy the Villa, what's the price of the Villa and how much in rent will be paid to each VIL holder.

Not that I would buy or recommend anyone to buy it even if you told more details on your plan, but the way it is now it seems like you don't even have a plan.

bkolobara To be successful, I imagine a platform like that would have to provide some guarantees to potential buyers to be successful. Perhaps doing some checks on the token issuers and working with them to see if they have any guarantees to offer.

Perhaps this should be a more high-profile business, in which legal arrangements must be made by the platform and the token issuer such that the credibility of the platform itself will be in stake for each token issued on it.

Since this is just a static page with advertisign of one token I think it is maybe just wanting to get free lumens from the SBC.

fiatjaf It should be possible to decouple the platform sold to token issuer and their ICO. In this case you only make it easier for them to issue tokens, but you don't give any guarantees to buyers/investors. The issuer should provide this guarantees.

For simple use cases (e.g. loyalty points, in-game credit, ...) I don't think that any guarantees are necessary.

Yes, you are right. I hadn't thought about these use cases for custom assets.

I agree. @jes, you only created a website for the crowdfunding of a rent house purchase. There is no code that would fall under any of Build Challenge categories. If there is a code that will manage ICO (preferably generic code for any ICO), please share it.
