They are on the Stellar platform, which is pretty looped in on the financial world. My impression is that Stellar is positioned to become a real player in the financial transactions game, so any coin in that environment has a real leg-up on the competition.
The coin itself is an interesting concept. Micro-payments for things like letting a drone fly over your property or reading insightful, relevant comments on your website are fascinating business ideas. The idea is certainly sound, and so a coin that facilitates such payments may do very well.
Of course, "very well" may end up being measured in micro-payments as well!
