Deleting a public key due to reset recovery phrase Ledger

Hello all, as I probably need to reset my Ledger recovery phrase I ran into the problem that once it is reset I can't login to my Stellar account viewer, correct?

Therefore I generated a new wallet and transferred my XLM's to this temporary wallet, before resetting my Ledger Nano S. Once the reset is done, I plan to create a new public key in combination with the Nano S.

Now my question is, why there is no option to delete the old public key which won't be used after I've reset my Ledger Nano S? Over time there will be loads of unused public keys containing the minimum amount of XLM's, correct?

Curious to see if more encounter this and if there will be an easy "account delete" option, if not already there? I found somewhere I could do a merge to recover XLM on https://www.stellar.org/laboratory/, but didn't found a correct procedure.

Hope there is some feedback from 1 of the experts on this matter.

Dear user8528, I'm pretty sure this looks like the answer to my question. I'll dive into it and see if it works out, but looking on the guidance it was the answer I was looking for.
