The team at Clic.World would like to announce the eSACCO Plus Social Banking Application for submission into the November Stellar Build Challange.
This application (which was entered into the last build challenge) have been re-build based on feedback from members and a production version is now available on the Google Playstore https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=mutual.newclic&hl=en_GB
A test version is available at www.clicyourworld.com/clicweb (Android only). On this web page you can download the test app and a basic overview of the app and its functions and features. You will also find a basic online invoice and QR generator to test the ClicPay function

The Plus version contains all the Social Banking functions of the basic version, which is now in production for a few months, in addition to full Stellar integration using the Clic.World federation server.
This app form part of the Clic.World social financial eco-system that we are piloting in Uganda at the moment, with pilots in rest of East Africa and Central and West Africa and Eastern Europe starting over the next 2 months.
The eSACCO Plus app is also linked to the first Clic.World mobile money ATM prototype for card-less withdrawals and deposits from eSACCO and other Clic.World linked accounts. This platform is integrated into the existing Mobile Money networks in Uganda with MTN currently live.
Stellar integration into the Clic.World ATM network are in the pipeline, with the ability to purchase Stellar assets with cash and create a Stellar account as part of the plan.
Summary of functions, in addition to the standard banking functions:-
When a member download the app they have the option to create a new *clic.world federated account or link the app to an existing Stellar account.
Stellar balances are displayed in the wallet in addition to the local currency e-value and members can create a QR with the Stellar federated address or share it on social media. This QR can be used with the ClicPay scan function to transfer money between wallets.
Members can transfer Stellar assets to other existing accounts or to new accounts using email of mobile phone numbers, which creates a new account and send the link with the assets to the email account or mobile phone.
The app is ClicPay enabled using Stellar CLIC loyalty tokens. Tokens are sent to the member’s wallet on confirmation of a successful payment transaction.
We are launching a promotion where the first 500 eSACCO members who download the app will receive a bonus of 250 ESDT’s (the eSACCO ICO token) and 1000 CLIC’s loyalty points, in addition to 100XLM.
We will activate more app loyalty functions shortly, still some testing to do, then members will be able to earn CLIC’s on a number of activities in the app. CLIC’s loyalty tokens will also be launched at ClicPay enabled merchants.
Notes on ClicPay :-
- The QR code on the test site above shows the actual payment string, this will not be there in the production plugin we will release soon.
- To test the ClicPay direct e-commerce payment without QR code open the above link on a mobile phone browser
- ClicPay is currently on trial in a few shops, we plan to have it ready for wider rollout by end of November.
- ClicPay have a number of payment channel options, including an option for small shops without smartphones.
