Stellar Club - The newest portal for information on Stellar

Hi guys,

It’s John from Stellar Club.

I’ve been a passive stellar supporter for awhile now and today I’m changing to become a more active one to help grow the community.

I would like to announce that I would be taking part in the SBC to provide a better forum with the goal of helping new stellar members (Reddit seems to be increasing at a rate of ~150 new members a day). I've created a website & forum focusing on education and keeping everyone up to date with the latest news.

The website is www.thestellarclub.com, the forum will act as an educational discussion point on relevant tutorials and guides that will be posted up.

The website is far from complete, launch before you're proud of it right? It’ll be great to get good feedback from the community as well as to crowdsource important information and articles that I may have missed to improve visibility of the wonders of the Stellar network.

Check out our website, let us know what we can improve on and send us information that should be put up!

P.S. by putting us as your inflation pool address, we are doing raffles to give out up to 90% of it every time! Check it out.

The Stellar Club team is made out of a group of excited individuals in the tech community across Asia, Feel free to ask us stuff - we can tell you which beach is the best to cowork at especially once Stellar grows ?

CSS improvements
Hopefully the first Stellar giveaway
Creating a drip for new Stellar members to sign up and learn abit about Stellar everyday.
Creating more tutorials for the new members
Creating FAQs about the commonly asked questions

Hey there,

Thanks, good idea, we're trying to improve the CSS for the website gradually.

The forum will play an important role as we want to spark more country community movements and meetups. Each country will eventually have a subforum.

I like the idea of the country sub forums. We currently have whatsapp groups for Tanzania and Uganda and Rwanda and have started one in South Africa, so there's scope for this, but as mentioned before, increase the font size plse!! Making sure it works on mobile will be an advantage.

Sorry if this isn't constructive feedback, but I don't like it. It isn't better than the existing forums. GalacticTalk, for example, is prettier and faster.

Maybe there is a niche to be filled, or a different-but-related Stellar community will emerge out of your forum (those things happen all the time), but I don't think it will.

I'll say this trying to not be a jerk, but perhaps you should concentrate your efforts on a different product.

No worries, I totally understand and I myself feel that galactictalk is a better designed forum at the moment, we're still in development mode and aren't proud of our forums yet. We'll be working on CSS changes this month and try to spark more activity in it. Just give us some time and you'll see some changes! =)

The goal of the website is to be more than just a forum, we want to be an active driver and advocator of Stellar in the SEA region especially and have plans working out towards that.

That's awesome! We'll work on pushing out the forum asap, if you're really interested in that, maybe we could work out a mobile version especially for country-specific information, meetups, chats etc. Will let the team know about this.

Hey guys, we've updated the website, please have a look and give your comments.

We've fixed the CSS for the forums and created some raffles for interested users.

@andre - We now have country specific movement forums, do let me know if you're still interested.
