Activating Stellar Account viewer

Hi all,

I created a new account on https://www.stellar.org/account-viewer/#!/ and after signing in it says "This account doesn't exist on the network. To create this account, send it at least 20 lumens (XLM) to fulfill the minimum balance."

I tried sending 25 xlm from an exchange to this account to activate it but when I tried to send from the exchange, it says this account is invalid.

I also tried using my Ledger Nano S default wallet address but when I send from the exchange to this account, it gives the same error message.

So how do you activate / finish creating these accounts?

Are you using Bitcoin Indonesia? Bittrex / poloniex / kraken are all able to create new account.

umbrel The problem it seems is from the receiving end not senders. I am not trying to send to an exchange and sending out from an exchange should not be a problem.

umbrel hey.. i have some XLM in bitcoin indonesia (don't ask...) Why can't they create me a new account?

Stellarstella The exchange usually activates the account automatically. Nothing you can do about it without having 20 XLM already. You should write to the support of the exchange to support activation. This is the minimum they should do.

TaylerLee it looks like they haven't implemented CreateAccount operation. They can only send payment to existing account.

I am having the same problem sending my stellar lumens from my bitcoin indonesia exchange to my ledger nano s. How do i do that as the indo exchange is not recognising my account address to activate my stellar ledger nano address

GeorgePixie If you're Telegram user - you can do it with my PapayaBot. Send to your bot address first (don't forget the memo) and then to your ledger nano s, it will create it for you automatically.
