What are vanity addresses?
If you see RippleFox public address, it has RFOX in the end.

You too can generate such address for you with lumenaddr.
How secure it is:
1. It's plain HTML-javascript application which runs in your browser, without any server-side code. You can view the source code of this site (I tried to write readable code ? ) and verify.
2. The source code is open-source (https://bitbucket.org/hardcodr/lumenaddr) which you can download and run.

Some improvements I am planning to do:
1. Generate QR code
2. Faster address generation
