Connecting the Stellar ecosystem to verifiable climate & biodiversity impact

Stellarcarbon enables the Stellar ecosystem to directly support vetted climate and biodiversity projects. Through our bridge, anyone with a Stellar account can contribute to rainforest carbon storage and biodiversity conservation — and receive proof of retirement both on the Stellar ledger and in the Verra Registry, the world’s largest carbon registry.

Stellar developers can embed real-world environmental impact into their products and services via a simple API or Soroban contract call. This means wallets, dApps, payment providers, and DeFi protocols can all deliver verifiable regeneration as a native feature. Stellarcarbon transforms impact into an interoperable building block for the entire ecosystem.

We began proving the concept in 2022 with our first pilot integration with Mojoflower’s Calyx product. Since then, we’ve built towards production-ready infrastructure and usability, supported by SCF Awards in rounds 11, 25, and 33.

Today, our API and dApp are fully functional on both Stellar testnet and mainnet. Stellarcarbon has been an i³ Awards finalist in 2024 and 2025, and our public launch has been announced at the Meridian 2025 Pitch Arena.

Eco-Asset Registry Bridge

Other blockchain carbon projects (e.g. Toucan) have pursued one-way bridges, which lack transparency and have been banned by major registries. Stellarcarbon built the first two-way bridge between a blockchain and a traditional eco-credit registry.

Registry-verified retirements: the Verra Registry directly records blockchain-linked retirements, ensuring permanence and auditability.
Certificates for individuals: contributors can receive official Verra certificates, not just on-chain claims.
Open-source monitoring: we publish tools for anyone to audit our accounts and verify our claims.

This two-way design connects registries with web3 builders.
