GaltEx is the most innovative exchange for crypto assets built on top of SDEX - Stellar Decentralized Exchange.

It allows you to trade in four different markets:

  • Forex listing more than a hundred world currencies
  • Crypto listing the top hundred crypto currencies like XLM, BTC, ETH, etc
  • Wall St. listing the top hundred stocks from Dow Jones and Nasdaq
  • Galt St. listing all assets created by startups on the Stellar Network

In order to use GaltEx all you need to have is a Stellar account. You can buy and sell assets from your own wallet or you can login with your public key to track your orders. Keys are never stored or transmitted anywhere. We advise you to never share your secret keys in websites or apps you don't trust.

GaltEx is part of the financial services provided by GaltBank, the first crypto bank in the world with the most advanced and feature rich desktop and mobile wallets. GaltBank also offers payment services for your shopping needs so you can trade, shop and save with confidence backed by the most trusted bank on the blockchain.

In Code We Trust

Unfortunately Stellar Testnet is having issues and you won't be able to see the charts and trade history. Not the best time for a sneak preview but today is the final day to post projects for the SBC. Will repost when everything is working fine on their side.

looks interesting

That same UI is going to be used in a desktop client for macOS so you can trade in the confidence of your own computer without sharing any info on the web. GaltEx Trading Desktop will be released next week, unfortunately not in time for this SBC.

Torkus It should be in time if it's next week. The deadline is 15 march. As far as I'm aware projects only need to be announced by 1 march.

Are you going to be anchoring these assets? If not, how are you going to handle asset issuer reporting?

        Gitzman

        What is 'asset issuer reporting'?

We will be anchoring all of them but in a very peculiar way, as soon as some asset is bought we'll set an automatic ask offer for the same price to keep the market in equilibrium. We won't have a single penny in our accounts, only enough to have the necessary reserves to allow trust to be set and assets exchanged.

          dupe

Ok, then will try to have an MVP running by tonight.

Torkus I'm sorry I don't follow. Assets listed on the stellar DEX are actually IOUs representing a promise of an actual asset off chain. Who is going to be creating the IOUs? If it is not you, how will you distinguish between let's say a Papaya issued BTC versus a stronghold issued BTC?

            Gitzman

We will create IOUs for our own tokens not for tokens we don't control. What you do with your wallet is up to you, we provide a user interface for people to buy/sell whatever is on SDEX and we are not responsible for whatever people post on SDEX, if you want to buy KITTY tokens that's up to you, if the issuer does not honor the token that's not our issue just like SDEX doesn't care about what people buy/sell, they're just the platform.

Torkus some of the things you mentioned are not available on SDEX right now:

Forex listing more than a hundred world currencies
Crypto listing the top hundred crypto currencies like XLM, BTC, ETH, etc
Wall St. listing the top hundred stocks from Dow Jones and Nasdaq
Galt St. listing all assets created by startups on the Stellar Network

I was asking if you're going to create the IOUs for these things because that would be incredible.

If you're not doing that, you are going to just list any token that anyone creates, and not inform about the issuer? You are not going to distinguish between a token symbol $USD from US Bank vs. $USD from Johnny Danger on your front end and list them as if they were the same asset? This is misleading as they are not the same asset. Just my opinion, but I think it would add a significant amount of trust to the platform to add the issuing id of the asset as well as any information available on the asset issuer's home_domain's stellar.toml file, like the way that stellarterm.io works. https://stellar.stackexchange.com/questions/587/add-logo-and-coin-name-to-stellarterm-token

                Gitzman

Of course they're not available on SDEX, they're part of the innovations we want to introduce. All of them will be tokens created and issued by GaltBank so we will only show one issuer for world currencies, crypto, Wall St. and Galt St. If we decide to include other tokens of course we'll disclose the issuer most likely with a small logo, name and first eight chars of the issuer address. So no, there won't be any danger of mixing symbols. If we decide to trade all tokens on SDEX then we'd have to redesign the app but I don't think so. We don't want to mix currencies with cryptos or stocks, that's why we separated them in four groups. Of course things will evolve with user feedback so nothing is written on stone yet.

Torkus Oh ok. That makes sense. I didn't realize you'd be anchoring all these asset types. That's awesome. Best of luck!

Hi, did you release the desktop client yet? for windows? when are you planning on going live? will you be adding indicators to your charts? the problem i have with trading on sdex is the lack of good charts. i use tradingview for trading but they dont list any other stellar assets apart from xlm. If you could make your charts the best then that would separate you from the rest. Stellar port charts are the same, they are almost unless for trading because they have no indicators.

                    CryptoMediaNetwork

The desktop client is available for macOS only but it's going under a heavy redesign since our goals were too broad, now we are focusing in doing one thing and doing it well.

This is the old version which you can download to inspect the code but it's not working anymore, the next version will only have tokens from SDEX and nothing else. Taking over the world has been postponed for a while but still is our main goal.

Thanks for the heads up. I could have swore i checked that button and it just popped up to trading views website. I was obviously mistaken and was hitting the link below it!
While iv got your attention, what do you know about the asset token AUC that was listed on stellarport? It had a link to their website, the link was later taken down by you i guess? the website is http://aucxp.com/index.html
The website claims its a token for the African union central bank token. It says its going live in October 2018. Do you have any info on this? did you take the website down?

                      CryptoMediaNetwork
I have no info on it. We auto list every token on the stellar decentralized exchange. Every buyer should do their own info into the tokens before buying them.

CryptoMediaNetwork sorry, we changed the link style. It is still there but you need to click the little blue arrow to get redirected.
