How do you handle the minimum stellar deposit requirement of 1 lumen?

Do you give every user on your platform 1 lumen? I was of the impression that custom asset cannot be sent to a wallet that has not been activated?
Or how do you handle this for users that are completely new to Stellar lumen or even crypto as a whole?

I have a few questions:
Will you send an email with a private key to the receiver if the user has no account?
Will you store the users email addresses on your server?
Do you intend to also offer the ability to send lumens alongside your custom asset?
