We are pleased to announce Altcoin Fantasy. For a person starting out in cryptocurrency trading, it is a very daunting and risky task. You have to put in actual money and the price of coins and fluctuate very much. In addition, there are over 1500 coins out there to choose from. How do you learn about them while not risking losing all your hard earned money?

What is Altcoin Fantasy

Altcoin Fantasy is a cryptocurrency simulation platform where users learn to trade cryptocurrencies risk free. Users start with $100,000 virtual USD, and make trades during the contest period. At the end of the contest, the players with the most net worth will win actual cryptos, such as Stellar Lumens!

Why we created it

We created Altcoin Fantasy to educate potential traders as well as those who are just plain interested about the cryptocurrency space. We wanted to make it fun and exciting to compete for actual cryptocurrenies in free contests while also giving users an opportunity to learn about the different cryptocurrencies and coins. We offer an intuitive interface which makes trading interesting and easy by including descriptions, news, and historical performance charts for each of the coins. This is also extremely useful information to have for potential traders who want to learn more about the historical performance of a cryptocurrency and/or coin, all in one easy place.

In addition, we will also send our users regular newsletters that highlight the latest in the world of cryptocurrencies so they will be up to date with the latest developments without having to research on their own.

Currently we ourselves are sponsoring the contests -- in the future we plan to partner with brands to sponsor the contests for our users, but the contests will always be free to play.

For the SBC challenge, if we do get rewarded with lumens, all of these lumens will go directly back to prizes for our users -- we would educate users on what Lumens are.

Our future plan is to launch a native iOS and a revamped Android app. We also plan to add exchange tools such as stop loss and other real time tools.

Is this game free? Where can I find the rules for the game?

    jess It is currently available for Android but not yet for iOS. We are working on an iOS app, however, which should be out shortly.

      Does this trading platform mimic real life trading? How does this compare to real exchanges?

        AlexChuang The current week's prizes is $25 to the winner, and $15 to the 2nd to 5th place. We also have smaller prizes for the rest of the top 15!

          AlexChuang we try to mimic real life trading as much as possible. We are constantly trying to improve the product so we'll be adding things like real time updates, buy/sell orders and limit orders in the future.

            I am new to the whole crypto space. What are some of the educational features of the game?

            Hi @amy22 , we show charts with price history with each of the coins and are currently working on a news feed for a specific coin so you can be up to date about the coins you care about. We will be also sending out weekly newsletters highlighting the different coins and what they are trying to accomplish. ?
