Mission/Vision

Our mission is to create a decentralized food system that is fueled by collaboration, transparency, and sustainability. We envision a world where producers are equitably compensated, while we as consumers save money and know the who, what, where, and whens of our food.

What is FS?

Foodstems is a social marketplace and supply chain management platform connecting buyers and sellers through direct sales. We coordinate farmers’ availability lists (product supply) with customer orders (volume of demand) and manage the logistics between. We utilize a cooperative purchasing model and blockchain technology to deliver greater transparency and collaboration to the food system. Our platform matches, as closely as possible, supply to demand.

Why Stellar?

We feel most aligned with Stellar’s mission to provide low-cost financial services to fight poverty and maximize individual potential. Agriculture and food is the economic foundation of many developing nations. Stellar provides the most efficient transfer of value via their global exchanges, protocol, and network, which conveniently aligns with our mission to help farmers/producers and foodservice/consumers utilize improved economic efficiencies and opportunities. Collaboration and transparency ensures that every stakeholder in our system is a winner.

What we are actively doing next (now)

Our beta is currently launched and being tested on a group of local farmers and food trucks in the Bay Area. We have built a proof of concept of a distributed node system which allows us to store private transaction data, while being referenced on the Stellar blockchain via a unique Hash. We intend to integrate Foodstems’ supply chain management with a commodities and financing exchange.

This is our Block Explorer application in Foodstems. It allows us to search any transaction quickly. In conjunction with our delivery application, we are able to have full visibility into the supply chain. This gives us the ability to look up any transaction and know with clarity the details of the order as well as its status verified in the blockchain.

Mission


The mission of the Stellar Economy (SE) is to redefine profit and establish a Profit for All platform that promotes global awareness to the issues of plastic pollution.  SE will offer very viable solutions to support a healthier planet and reduce the damaging impact that plastic products can have on our environment.   SE will accomplish this by expanding worldwide access to educational ideas, along with the manufacturing and sale of fair trade products such as Reusable straws, utensils and bags designed to reduce unnecessary plastic use. 


SE’s vision is an open and affordable production design system where people of all income levels can access fair trade eco products with our BOWGO buy one we gift one pay it forward model.  The Stellar Economy product line’s will follow the philosophy of zero waste which encourages the redesign of resource life cycles so product materials are reused and / or Biodegradable.   The products will have the Stellar Economy logo and we will also offer a pay it forward Profit for All manufacturing facilities for private label production to aid in the development and maintenance of strong corporate alliances.

All purchases will be made in Stellar Lumens. 


Our planet is being adversely affected by plastic straws, utensils and bags.  SE mission is to replace them with reusable and biodegradable alternatives manufactured with fair trade in mind.

Partnership Program

The purpose of the Partnership Program is to encourage adoption and growth of Stellar Economy through the institutional purchase of private label reusable straws, bags and utensils.  We believe that large corporations can buy there entire organisation reusable straws, bags and utensil as gifts that support the reduction of plastic pollution and a cleaner world.  At the same time they can private label their logo on the products adding value to the pay it forward action.  We  trust with the support of Stellar Development Foundation the Stellar Economy can reach companies that will be interested in supporting the BOWGO profit for all model.  

Our hope would be to reach large corporations like Alphabet Inc’s decision makers and produce eco products for their 75,000+ employees.  Instead of companies like Alphabet offering a grant to reduce plastic waste they just purchases the product from SE and in turn we use the profits to further reduce plastic waste through our BOWGO Profit for All network.  They would be offered the three tiered price structure and with this model they decide the pay it forward benefit program of their own abundant nature.

With the purchase under the Friend Membership the corporation will receive 1 item. 
Under the Family BOWGO Membership they receive 1 item and SE gives away one of the same item.  
As a God and Goddess abundance for all member the corporation becomes part of a cooperative venture to reduce plastic waste around the world.  They would buy 1 item get 1 free and SE gives away 1 or more items depending on the amount the company decides to pay for 1 item.   

As institutional adoption is a primary driver for scaling usage and give aways from the BOWGO Profit for All membership.   The Partnership Program is structured to incentivise key institutional adopters and align their goals with the SE’s.

    xaviablaza right now we're actually not tokenizing anything. We're using Stellar for supply chain management. We have a built in ledger though, so users can use their balance on our platform for future purchases or check out. We'll be using Stellar for payments soon too. We're looking into tokenizing products, however, since we're dealing with perishable produce that needs to be delivered, we're unsure if its a feature that will be easily understood/utilized.

          savebattgo so we're initially keeping this more for internal use, especially to easily track food origination/provenance, and potential cross-contamination.

          Our social marketplace allows produce growers to sell directly to their consumers. So at the very least, the consumer knows where the product was grown.

          I suppose we may consider adding an internal token for people to use to track their food, but that would have to be a while later mostly because we don't think it would get a ton of adoption initially. Maybe a good project for 6 months from now.
