Indeed it's an interesting project, Mooney aims to be for Stellar what MetaMask is for Ethereum and much more. It is undeniable that a solid online presence is of outmost importance for any cryptocurrency in order to become the leading platform for web payments specially in the informal markets and micropayments arena.

Also, by using the web+stellar schema proposal it will be easily integrated with all kinds of apps like exchanges so you can trade assets on the web without compromising your secret keys, or inflation pools so you can set your inflation destination with a single click simplifying the user experience.

I believe that by providing the right tools for interacting with the Stellar ecosystem, the possibilities are endless to create all kinds of interesting apps on the web and mobile devices.

Are there any new features added since the SBC? A design refresh could really boost the adoption. Metamask has a really trendy UI.

Do you have any intentions to exposing an API that a website could use? E.g. Authentication with StellarAuth or SEP-0010.

Mooney didn't participate in the last SBC, I had a total burnout episode just before submitting the projects (including Fortress, Starboard, etc) and had to take a year away from computers, so now I decided to continue where I left and bringing it up to date with the latest changes to the protocol like fees or manageOffer to make it functional again before committing to new updates. There are many things that can be done in the long run like authentication and updating the UI. A web+stellar authentication link or even qrcodes sound like interesting ideas to explore. I'll take a look at MetaMask to see what I can ~~steal~~ borrow.

At the moment you need to package the extension yourself and load it in to chrome right? Could be good to give this zip (as far as I remember it's a zip file on Chrome that's needed) as a download on github maybe? Prevents people needing to clone the project then?
