  • PSA: What to do if your XLM goes missing when you send them

So you put a lot of sweat and tears into getting some XLM saved up, and when you sent it, it never arrived.
What happened? Did your wallet scam you?

Here's how you find out:

  • Find your stellar address
  • Go to stellarchain.io
  • Paste your address into the search field in the top right corner
  • See if you find your transaction in the list
  • If you do, then the transaction has happened, and you need to contact the person you sent it to
  • If you don't, then nothing happened, and the funds should still be in your account

The most common reasons for funds "gone missing" are:

  • not sending a memo
  • the exchange being slow at crediting your account
  • sending to the wrong address

    Also worth noting if you do forget to put in a memo, contact the exchange via customer service. For other users they've been known to resolve the issue.

      Hello, i need to find the transaction id of a transaction made 51 days ago the 12-06-2017 6:02 GMT at the adress GA5XIGA5C7QTPTWXQHY6MCJRMTRZDOSHR6EFIBNDQTCQHG262N4GGKTM. Too long to geet back on stellarchain.io, is there a historical ledger to look for ?
