sonic1111 You can run a stellar core node and have a full copy of the blockchain locally. By holding your secret key you are holding your Lumens. In bitcoin you also don't have anything physically on your PC, you just keep a key that allows you to sign transactions.
Bitcoin doesn't have a good separation of concerns as the Bitcoin Core client was everything at one point (miner, ledger db, wallet, ...). With stellar you actually don't need to run a full node. It has a much better thought out architecture. You only need a wallet to hold your XLM safely and they are much more lightweight.
