What is your plan to recoup the extra $0.75 so that your GFT token can eventually trade at parity with the dollar? Why should people initially value GFT at $1 when it's not actually backed by $1/token?

However, we use name GFT instead of the USD because GFT token was designed specifically for gift-certificates, and it's not a fiat representation or security. Securities are a subject to strict regulations in the US (see The Howey Test ) and other countries. I don't understand what the fees are going to be Fees depend on the way you are using GFTs. In case of the 2THE.PUB service, the fees will be 0% for Wire and ACH/SEPA transfers, and 3% for Credit Card and PayPal withdrawals. For EasyGifts service we are planning to charge flat 1% fee in addition to bank fees on all operations (gift card purchasing, funds withdrawals). The pricing for enterprise integration depends on the specific requirements. Moreover, any person will be able to buy GFTs instantly from the Treasury with 15% fee. How we can offer payment settlement completely free of charge for some services? You see, there's is a trick with gift cards which makes them so interesting for business. About 5 to 12% of all paid gift cards are never redeemed. We are using this clearance to cover all USD transfer costs: Credit card charging fees (1.5-4%) International transfer fees (0.2-1%) ACH/Wired payout fees (1-4%) The more transactions our platform process, the lower bank fees will be. Looks great guys! Very excited about this. I worry if you allow people to buy the GFT for lower than what you redeem it for you will get a lot of people exploiting it. I would suggest that instead you give a large bonus to spending the tokens at the participating locations. So maybe for the first month 1 GFT gets you $2 at the participating locations and you scale down from there or something?

I discussed it with team members, and we will definitely consider your proposition for funding phase 2. However, I'm not sure about the $2 per GFT rate, as it effectively doubles our liabilities in the worst case. We can safely afford a 50% bonus (1.5$/GFT in participating venues during the first few months), of course, it doesn't sound so nice as "pay for a beer with GFTs - get second for free". We need to deliberate the details and review the business strategy, our marketing team is on it.

The basic rate for promotional presale (0.25 USD/GFT) is not subject to change, as we have made an announcement already; but we are going to limit the planned presale amount from 5 000 000 to 3 000 000 GFTs in order to increase initial Treasury liquidity.

We are launching an advertising campaign for venues wright now. All registered restaurants and cafes will be displayed on 2THE.PUB partner venue map.

Services will be available worldwide. Actually, we are still not sure about the US, we haven't finished the research regarding recent regulatory changes yet. It seems that GFT Network payouts will be available only outside the US at least during a few months after official launch. USD fund transfers will be held by our local representatives in Europe and Asia-Pacific region.

Service termination notice

Dear GFT supporters and presale participants,

Over the last few months, we had numerous conversations with representatives of banks and financial organizations located in 4 jurisdictions. However, we haven't reached an agreement that would satisfy our requirements by means of low-cost worldwide payment settlement. Without payment provider, GFT Network will be unable to keep the declared service fee rates on global gift certificate transfers.

In this light, we have decided that the best approach is to terminate the project and refund all our GFT token holders as we feel that it's the right thing to do in order to protect our early supporters.

Starting January 3 at 6:00 PM (UTC+0) the trade in GFT/XLM will be open on Stellar Decentralized Exchange (accessible from any Stellar wallet with DEX support or stellarterm). We will place a buy order to buy back all tokens for 2.0317 XLM per GFT. Owners of GFT tokens will thus be given the opportunity to sell all their tokens for a fixed price per token (~ 1.77 USD per token at the moment of publication).

This refund process will be carried out automatically before January 12, 2018.

Upon refund completion, all GFT-related public services and websites (including gft.network, community.gft.network, 2the.pub) will be terminated.
