  • Cbot - A Geostationary Constellation of Stellar Nodes

Cbot is one of a series of 21 Space Explorer Robots I am working on.
Cbot stands for "Communications Robot". There are other Robots in this series, like Abot (Asteroid Robot), and more.

To test this super complex project, and since I have been following Stellar the last couple of years, I thought it will be nice to upload an stellar core instance into a Geostationary Orbit using a CubeSat.
I also think this could be the first blockchain node in Space.
Perhaps one day you will buy a drink using a Stellar Space Node on your way to Mars or the Moon. Who knows?

I am also planning to apply to a Startup Accelerator, and I have a US company too.

What do you think? Some feedback or questions perhaps? I will really appreciate them.

Gaucho Have you heard of Blockstream satellites?
To be honest I see why it's important for Bitcoin, but I don't see the point of doing the same for stellar. But what do I know?
Once it's launched do you have remote access to that for updates, etc? What are the limits for network traffic?

Haven't seen Blockstream Before, I thought no one did it before.
Perhaps my project is very similar, i will look what they are doing later.

The Idea of having Stellar nodes in Space is because this is the Stellar Blockchain.
If there is a network with the right name is this one.

I guess the 'honest' justification is that i need to start one of the robots next year, and sending a cubesat as a payload in a commercial rocket is the fastest/easiest way to reach space currently.
But i can't send it without a mission, and i thought that an Stellar core orbiting Earth will be very cool. 'Stellar in Space', like the whole package...

Once is launched there will no problem to communicate with the satellite, even an amateur radio club could help.
I am not an engineer, and I am more focused on the Concept.
But here is more info on the S band, used by Satellites: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S_band

I've been looking at the blockstream website, and their project is honestly really cool. And they have a team of 39 experts too...
I am currently on my own on this, and I don't even have a degree.
So, to make it easier for me, I will only try to reach a Low Earth Orbit ?

Not going to lie…this is kind of cool. Have fun blasting off to new horizons with this project.
