Hey guys! Can I deposit bitcoin to my stellar client desktop wallet to exchange to lumens!? Thanks! I m about to purchase bitcoin and want to change immediately to lumens. Thanks a lot!

FranciscoOttonello You can, but you will need to already have at least 31 XLM in your wallet.

Send your bitcoin to an anchor, like https://apay.io/. To trust this anchor you will need to have 20 XLM (base reserve) + 10 XLM (trustline) + 1 XLM (transaction fees) = 31 XLM.
Use the built in exchange of Stellar Desktop Client to exchange your bitcoin for XLM. Or use another trading client like https://stellarterm.com/#exchange/XLM-native/BTC-apay.io

bkolobara thanks a lot! I already have lumens as well! I will try what you told me, but I was expecting to send it directly to my stellar public key but I see I have to create another to exchange it and then send it to my lumens key, right...? Sory for the long questions hihi

FranciscoOttonello You first need to turn your bitcoin into stellar compatible bitcoin tokens. That's why you need to first send them to an anchor. I suggest you to get a bit more familiar with the concept of anchors in Stellar. You can hold all assets in the same wallet once you have bitcoin tokens form an anchor.

bkolobara need more practice for sure but just got the idea. I get a trustline (you recommended apay) that creates an asset (let's say bitcoin) then from the stellar wallet I pass it to lumens ? right? Thanks a lot! I think I got it!
