Thanks for prompt response.

links provide a insight into how to run stellar core on local infrastructure which will still communicate with peers on main stellar network or testnet.

I was looking for mechanism to establish permissioned fully private blockchain network with stellar technology stack running on my local data centre which is totally isolated from stellar main network or test network.

Please let me know if it is achievable.

Yes, it is. The links I provided you mention specially that :-) . So, in order for you to create your own infrastructure you just need to run a couple of nodes that all have a different Network passphrase

For example, you could think of the Stellar Testnet as Stellar PubNet as totally isolated from each other. One of the reasons being they have a different Network Passphrase

Hi,

What they have given there is the configuration for a stand-alone node. Is it possible to have more than one node in a private network? How many nodes do we need? I tried setting up a network of two validator nodes in my machine but they are not syncing, just handshaking with each other. And the node state remains "Joining SCP".

Do you have any sample configuration for a private network with more than one node?

Basically you just need to change the NETWORK_PASSPHRASE and you have your own network.

bkolobara I have a query, can the History section be same for all nodes we set up?
I have gone through all the articles mentioned in history section (stellar.org/developers section & admin guide) but still don't have much clarity.
I am getting ststus of 3rd node as "status" : [ "Catching up: Waiting for trigger ledger: 633569/633601, ETA: 160s" ]

1st two nodes are synced.

obito I'm seeing the exact same thing as I'm trying to establish a private network of 3 nodes. Have you made any progress with this?

bks I never set up more than one node and am not familiar with the details, but if you have multiple of them publishing to the same history archive maybe you run into some problems. I believe what you want is to have just one of them publish the history and other being validators. No reason to keep multiple copies of the history around. The history archive only helps new nodes that join the network catch up.

The inability to setup private Stellar networks seems to be an ongoing issue. My colleague and I are having problems as well.

The network password is exceptionally difficult to change. Many things have been tried and are listed above. Seven different help threads and guides have been worked through and yet the problem persists.
