@LukeSkywalker
I’ll get your project up on the site shortly. A very exciting idea and it does indeed align with the ideals of the aerospace project. Your idea is fantastic by the way, I think it’s a marvellous concept and sounds like a revolutionary way to approach the problems involved with space travel.

I am curious to know if you have some sort of background in engineering?

This is some next level thinking and I very much support it and thank you for using Sparked Wave for this and future projects.

Hello, and thank you for your support.
Some excellent suggestions, I truly appreciate your thoughts and think both features are very good ideas.
I'll get to incorporating them as soon as I can.
Thanks once again for your input.

StellarEconomy

I’ll get to the bottom of it for you.
I think It may be that your password isn’t matching the one you supplied at your registration a few weeks ago, so I will reset it for you.

The problem you are having with signing up is due to the site having a security feature where multiple accounts cannot be set up under the same email address. This means if you are trying to set up a new account with the same email address it won’t work.

I will send you an email with your username and a temporary password that you can use.

Once you have signed in with the new password you can change it. To do this go to “My Account” and click on the “Edit Account” tab to change the password to something you would like.

So please check for an email and let me know if the problem isn't solved.
I look forward to reading what you submit.

Weekly Update 3

Hello.
As we near the end of the SBC and reach the 3rd weekly update I have a few new features to report on as well as highlight some plans for the future.

New features

  • Added a display of the amount of XLM pledged and final goal to the bottom of each project.

  • Added the ability to assign categories to all dreams and projects. Currently there is three options: Under 100 XLM, Stellar Network and Alternative. Categories will change and increase as different dreams or projects are added.

  • Added a display of related dreams or projects at the bottom of each campaign.

  • Image submission on "Update Form" no longer required, and people can now update just by text.

Future Plans

  • "Submit Dream” and “Update Dream” tutorial videos in the works.
  • Social media incorporation is being looked into.
  • Allowing more options in what can be uploaded and how dreams or projects can be displayed.

Hi Again, sorry for the late response, I am trying to finish up my SBC project submission.

Thank you for the positive feedback....

I have a technologist diploma in electrical engineering - Telecommunications Branch, it's a electronics technician degree but with it's 3 years instead of two.

After that I studied 4 years at ETS University in Montreal and got my Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

So I have 7 years of study. I am grateful that because of this we were aloud to take up to 3 masters level classes which I gladely took with much appreciation.

The first version of the idea came during my first degree studies, I was like 18? omg it's been 20 years already.

Who doesn't idolize Elon Musk, especially if you're an electrical engineer.

The idea sparked from the combination of 3 elements that had no relations to each other besides their perfect timing which I did not plan...definitely not random imho for this case.

Here is the trifecta
1: The first year of college right after High School is when you really start to learn, they were teaching us philosophy (luv it), french (hate it) electronic(awesome) math(bring it) programming(thass right) ...lol

2:I had just finished watching a documentary about NASA space exploration program and it was a recurring them back then to talk about the high cost of bringing payload to escape gravity, they would always start dreamy and majestic and end up with the same payload party pooping conclusion.

3:So I was like: Ok how do we solve the payload problem? Where is most of the payload distributed/wasted? well it obvious: those space shuttle are pretty much all propellant payload....so then I closed my eyes and asked myself to imagine the day when this payload issue would be solved. Once you accept the fact that your number one space exploration technology is primitive and you are 100% certain that it destined to deprecate from the get go then you become free and let it go, you stop looking at it and you start asking the questions.

So ok lets remove the big ass can o gas from Mankind's most accomplished masterpiece of science and technology....atomic energy?...meehhh...not yet....we don't master it well..

3:Then the final element bonded everything together I'm studying electronics...boooooooom.ok add a couple hot wheels commercials when I was little with the tracks we played with, also supercolliders those things are awesome and accelerate hella fast. That was either my 1st or my 2nd dream ever but definitely the biggest one. Good times ? I remeber sending an email to NASA about it...who knows right. But yeah it seems that it is the only piece missing in the Tesla Collection, it screams Reserved for Yan cuz we all deserve at least right? if we want it.

omg dude stephen hawkings just died right like today? Well do you know who<s birthday it is today? Albert Einstein...omg....
Here is the part of a phrase I<v been pushing up for a while now (before I just realized the Hawking Einstein Pattern ....:
" and humbly I say I was part of a complex event and even though I was alone in my pondering and meditation I was using ideas and knowledge from many sources and people"

I am going to stop here, I could keep going but I will keep for another time.

Your project is very nice BTW, those silver shades caught me and I was actually going uh oh for fraction of an instant as it was the first time I felt competition in the SBC, but turns out you have a nice concept that fulfilled my exact need, turns out you implemented the part in my project that was still missing, not yet implemented. So I figured I had nothing to lose if I submitted my dream...thank you for posting BTW....We can and must do this ICO.....Im not Elon musk but we are both Electrical engineers we both love physics I had the best grade of my school in Electromagnetics....the hardest of the whole program, we are both canadian, He now lives in LA, but form 2009 to 2013 I was living in LA, I defended an article about his Hyperloopz last winter because I saw there was obvious trolls trying to discredit Elons Pet project at the time..you know what it was....HyperLooopz ? HyperLoops and Xprize super acceleration are both basically the same technology...woa.....and then there Is a whole bunch of other connections(hyperloopz-russian university-Ethereum-Stellar-amazing)....which connects back here...Cheers man I got to go to bed. Your dream sparker really looks like it has a lot of sparking potential...even the name says it ? spark - electricity

So I wish you great success and long integrity we need this.. don't worry I'm a big team player and love competition I just got so invested since I started on my stellar site that I need to get one of the prizes absolutely to pay bills, Im all in Stellar dev...lol..don't worry though I am movingback home for sometime, I miss my family and my son - I am trusting the force and letting it guide me/ listening to it/ trusting it. But friend...I would love to have one of those cups of coffee with you and Elon Musk.

P.S. I've been actively maintaining and studying the xPrize for a long time...so I am ready, I also left some hints to try and help out the hyperloopz project on that article which was part of my rebutle to those trolls who wre using the technical challenges to criticize the project....it really felt like it was the competition of the Hyperloopz project
who were trolling...actually I remember now being heartbroken when I saw the news report about hyperloopz cuz no one believed me for years when I told them and I had it as a dream...lol....I worked for bombardier for a while...everyone said I was crazy...but once again the connections...its all good thoughbecause sincethen I have had many opportunities to enjoy/explore many ideas projects and lots of new discoveries (the xprize easily makes you see the hypertrain, the trolls try to discredit the originality of the invention with some earlier ideas from the 1900's) but who cares,I am starting to ponder what knowledge and discoveries I should share and which I should keep for other people to discover for themselves as I am sure happens to all of us..because discovering understanding is the greatest feeling in the world, one of the core purposes of life...wow... ?

P.S.There is one more dream that I have at heart very much....this one is medical though and we need it to save lives..I do not understand why it is not out it makes no sense, I hope it is not kept from the population on purpose, my guess they are on the cusps on turning the light on this one...but I am very dispointed cuz I know there is greed and pride in there....very selfish... but I will send you the description, I will let you have the discretion of handling with whoever you...but this idea...I would actually sacrifice the Xprize if it was the only way to get the medical device commercialized...because people are dying everyday..both idea were thought of almost at the same time...perhaps months appart.....its been 20 years...

ok I must pause this inspiring thread for now.

One last thing: I so lucky o what

Last year I bought a domain name that I think is perfect for the xprize project..

xprize.us i think its perfect...i think it screams made in america i dont even think its mine ?

xprize.us decentralized moonshot! making america great again. Thanks for the sparks

    Hello Yan.
Thank you for such a wonderful response.

Hearing about how your idea formed is remarkable and so intriguing. I very much enjoy your way of thinking and think we would get on splendidly. Your insight and ingenuity is exactly what I hoped Sparked Wave would help to inspire so thank you so much. I feel truly blessed to be able to offer my service to you and hope together we can spark a fun and positive change in the world.

Also thank you for the insight into your background. I’m going to update your project with a note about the extensive knowledge you have (providing you have no objection). I've marked my calendar and am looking forward to that cup of coffee with you and Elon one day soon, as well as working with you on future projects and dreams.

I hope your SBC project also goes well. I just had a look at it and think it’s truly impressive and will be very useful for a lot of people. So keep being an inspiration to other’s dreams and hopes for a brighter tomorrow for all.

Thank you once more for your integrity, kindness and for choosing Sparked Wave for your dreams.
I look forward to the future we can all create together.

    Owner and manager,
    Sparked Wave

Yes please go ahead with the update ?

Thanks for the spark of encouragement, keeping the engine timing impeccable and avoiding any knocks on the engine which would of caused a misfire ? Now to implement the electromagnetic propulsion version of it using MAG LEV technology.

I know my friends on cryptocompare XLM channel are often looking for good ICO/project funding platforms. I am certain they would appreciate your platform and look forward to seeing it promoted there sometime soon.

      It's looking really good.

I would force https. Cloudflare can do this easily.

I think the cart should be changed from "No products in the cart" to "No dreams or projects in the cart"

Maybe in the future it would be cool to add graphs of total projects, pledges, and etc. This is just a future idea.

        LukeSkywalker

        Thank you Yan,

I have updated your project with a note on your extensive experience.

I will be giving a visit to cryptocompare some time in the future. I look forward to seeing what dreams and projects that community will use Sparked Wave for.

Thanks again for your support and enthusiasm.

        BlockMaster

Thank you once more for your suggestions, they are most appreciated.

I am really keen on the idea of incorporating graphs of projects, pledges and other data into the site as well, once sparkedwave.com is a bit older.

I have gone ahead and forced https as you suggested and changed the cart empty message to “Your cart is empty, why not add some dreams or projects.” To be more appropriate.

Thank you again for your input. It really is appreciated and it all helps to make Sparked Wave into a site that’s worthy of its users.

        Weekly Update 4

        Hello.
Welcome to my week 4 update. I will continue these updates while Sparked Wave continues to grow and I add any other features requested. I will be switching my focus to advertising in the coming weeks.

        Updates/Bug Fixes

        • Fixed minor bug of the displayed text for cart empty message.
        • Forced https on whole site.

        Three New Stellar Projects
Three new projects have been added to Sparked Wave. One is a Stellar based project while the other two are more down to earth.

        Fund Distribution Explained

I’d like to explain the current system of payment distribution in a bit more detail. As stated previously 95% of payments currently go to a campaign's fund while 5% is redistributed amongst other projects. The idea behind this “all for one and one for all” funding system is to allow for the Sparked Wave community to benefit from each other’s success. It is my hope that this will encourage a sense of camaraderie amongst the Sparked Wave community.

Thank you for your support and for using Sparked Wave. I look forward to seeing what the future brings. If anyone wants to contact me you can use the contact form or send an email to contact@sparkedwave.com

        Weekly Update 5

Hello, I am pleased to announce this week’s update and it’s a big one. This update is a bit earlier than usual since I’m keen to show off the newly completed UI system I have been working on. The whole site has been redesigned to give a more streamlined user experience as well as to look sleek and polished.

I have compressed different pages, information and explanations into a more user friendly site while adding a whole host of new features in what is the site’s first major update.

        New Features

        • Graphics update to header, footer and overall colour scheme.
        • New UI of website focused on cutting down menu items and pages from eight to five and changing the overall site look to be more user friendly.
        • User submitted dream and update forms changed to be more user friendly to allow for a faster and easier user experience.
        • Social media, sharing and other useful options have been included on all dreams or project pages.
          • Social media links (facebook, twitter, linkedin).
• Sharing options (facebook messenger, email).
          • Other user options (copy dream or project URL, google bookmark).

        Bug Fixes

        • Fixed minor bugs related to incorrect text/graphics display.
        • Fixed email notification issue that was preventing users from receiving a confirmation on submissions.

        Future Plans

        • A single new complete video tutorial uploaded to explain how to use all features of the site (support a dream, submit a dream, update a dream) (coming shortly).
        • In the future I plan or combining the account viewer and user submitted dream and project updates into my own version of a social media platform. A simple way to communicate, share and post content amongst the community would be excellent when combined with crowdfunding. It will take sometime to do this so my weekly updates may no longer be weekly. I will in the meantime however continue to inform the Galactic talk community of any purposeful updates to sparkedwave.com that occur.

        Thank you

This was a rather large update this week so I hope the new look and functionality of the site appeals to everyone.
Thank you all for your suggestions and enthusiasm. It means a lot and has helped me make Sparked Wave all the more better for it.

So thank you once again and pleasant dreaming.

Nice! You've been busy I see, i will go take a look, good to know that bugs and issues get dealt with from the get go. I will be doing some work on my sparked dream this week as soon as I've completed the 1st phase of my SBC project.

        LukeSkywalker

        BlockMaster

Thanks for the ideas they are both great and I’ll give them some thought.

I’m trying to find the balance between keeping the site as simple as possible for those new to Stellar and utilising it's true potential. That is why at the moment I have gone down the conventional funding path that people are familiar with for other crowdfunding platforms.

        • People donate to Sparked Wave’s Stellar address.
        • Each donation gets confirmed then appears as a pledge on the dream or project they donated to.
        • At the end of the campaign I send the XLM raised from the Sparked Wave address to the address the dream or project manager provided at the time of submission.

This way it is super simple for people since all they have to do is have a Stellar address and at the end of their campaign the XLM will be sent to their account without them having to do a thing.

That being said I do think having a multi-signature address per campaign does seem like the best way to go in the future. It seems like a good security solution for everyone, plus I think it won’t be too hard for people once they get a general idea of how Stellar works.

When I have more users and the on site social network is set up I plan to let the community hold sway over how the site develops and this would be one of the first topics I’d get opinions on.

Thanks a lot to both of you. Your input as always is excellent.

I just found a nice article about Sparked Wave from a few days ago on GoStellar,

GoStellar is a website that seeks to centralize all the news related to Stellar and is a fellow SBC participant.

Go check the Article out and have a look at what Chris is trying to accomplish for the Stellar community.
