Hi Don, I had quick look at your page and am a bit confused with your offering.

The primary objective of the Monetran project has been to develop a stable token which can be used in everyday commerce, including for micropayments of $1 or less. The token will be designed not only to maintain its value, but to steadily increase in value over time. It will be backed by a portfolio of tangible assets and be redeemable for a portion of the account that reflects the number of tokens in circulation.

How do you design something to be stable, but at the same time to increase in value? And what assets do you plan to include in your portofolio that are redeemable?

Am I buying into the companies equity or into assets that are redeemable?

Every week there are 10 new tokens being issued and most of them seem to promise a lot, but without actually defining what it is they are offering.

Hi Bkolobara,

First things first. When you buy a unit of Monetran, you are buying what amounts to a "share" of equity in the company and you are getting a token as a perk. The tokens will be backed by investment grade assets such as govt. and municipal bonds, Treasuries, etc.

Gradual increases in value do not affect stability any more than gradual inflation does. The difference is, with anything linked to the USD for example, inflation will erode its value as time goes on. Moneda have been designed to gradually increase in value over time in such a way as to negate the detrimental effect inflation has on dollar denominated assets. Because of this, Moneda can serve as a store of value.

I find some stuff confusing as well.

When you compare Moneda to XRP, the table in your website shows both are stable. If Moneda is as stable as XRP ...

At various times XRP has had relatively long periods of stability compared to most of the other high market cap coins. So, it was included as having stability - relative stability.

When compared to the degree of stability that Moneda will have, then you have a point. Perhaps it should not have been included.
