bkolobara changed the title to Stellar Desktop Client & Stargazer .

ScottLathwood With Stargazer you can export the QR code of the account seed and print it out or just back up the whole app folder.

I think that Stellar Desktop Client lets you choose a filename where it keeps the secret key. So you back up this file.

Stargazer doesn't clearly prompt or guide user with seed as the Stellar Desktop Client does. How do I generate this seed fr Stargazer? Stumped on this

TheresaRamdas Do you have already a seed you would like to import into Stargazer or are you looking to export the seed from one of yours Stargazer accounts?

It appears since Jan 1sr. Alipay no longer holds balances on your profile for future payments or transfers. ..Can you confirm this? Thamks

      Hello,

I did a transaction to Poloniex and i didn't put the memo id, i used the full adress and i lost my stellar.

I wrote to the exchange and they need the TX HASH. I don't find this info in the wallet, is it there or i have to accept that i loose my stellar lumens?

      Thanks.

bkolobara Hey man I am having the same issue as Alliolilove, who do I contact to get this resolved? I have found the TX HASH.

        Thanks!

bkolobara Maybe it is not the same thing, I was trying to send my lumens to BTC wallet, I sent without converting by mistake, I found the transaction on stellarchain.io, it seems to have gone to a strange address in which multiple users have sent payments to this address: GBTCBCWLE6YVTR5Y5RRZC36Z37OH22G773HECWEIZTZJSN4WTG3CSOES
This address turns around and sends the lumens back to addresses that it receives them from, as if it were mistakes like mine...I have been searching for these lumens for months, only to find them within the stellarchain, and I cannot figure out how to have them sent back! Anything you can do to help would be awesome.

tmill1987 It looks like GBTCBCWLE6YVTR5Y5RRZC36Z37OH22G773HECWEIZTZJSN4WTG3CSOES is a NaoBTC's wallet (at least it was created by the same wallet which funded the NaoBTC issuer account).

So you need to find your transaction here: https://stellar.expert/explorer/account/GBTCBCWLE6YVTR5Y5RRZC36Z37OH22G773HECWEIZTZJSN4WTG3CSOES. Copy the transaction hash and contact NaoBTC support: https://www.naobtc.com/#/about.

I'm trying to move 25XLM to Bittrex as a test transaction from my Stargazer wallet, will still have 2000+ XLM remaining balance in the wallet. After creating contact for Bittrex from the receiving transaction I was able to input all required info including the memo. Click on blue send button (which highlights when pressed) but nothing happens, no confirmation msg or anything. I checked transaction history from Stargazer and Bittrex and all balance no change. I'm new at this and positive I'm not doing something right just don't know what the problem could be?
Any ideas would be helpful please.

ken hey, did you manage to solve it? Maybe there was a network issue when you attempted to transfer XLM

bkolobara In Stargazer you can print/save the QR code, but I don't think there's any way to import a QR code, at least I couldn't find one. You have to have the key/seed. Here's how I did it on a Mac:

                • In Stargazer, select the account you want the seed of.
                • Click the account settings button (the little gear in the top right corner of the Stargazer window).
                • Click Advanced
                • Click Export Account. That displays the QR code.
                • Take a screenshot of the QR code by doing a command-shift-4. The cursor will turn into crosshairs. Drag a rectangle around the QR code. It doesn't have to be exact, I grabbed some whitespace as well.
                • Download QR Journal from http://www.joshjacob.com/mac-development/qrjournal.php. It's a free Mac app to decode QR codes. There are versions for 10.6-10.11. I don't know if it specifically doesn't work on Sierra or higher or just hasn't been tested. I'm still on El Capitan and it works their fine.
                • Run QR Journal.
                • Click the Import icon.
                • Drag the screenshot of the QR code to the window.
                • QR Journal will decode the QR code and display the result under the code. Although it's a JSON object, JSON is pretty straightforward so it should be usable even if you've never heard of JSON.
                • In the JSON, look for "key":"<bunch of letters and digits>" The <bunch of letters and digits> is your key/seed. Copy that, and save it securely somewhere.
                • To test, you can run Stargazer, click the + to add an account, click Import Account, and paste the key you got from the QR code into the Account Seed field. If it's a valid key/seed, the Import Account button at the bottom of the window will be enabled. If it doesn't, you didn't copy the right thing, didn't get all of it, or got too much.
                • If you click the Import Account button, Stargazer should briefly say Account already exists.

It's easier than it might seem looking at the above, although why Stargazer doesn't do this automatically I don't know. Maybe I'll suggest it.

                Anyways, hope that helps someone.
