Hi. Has anyone had any experience using Stargazer to hold Stella Lumens? If so can you help with a problem I have please? I have a Stargazer account loaded with Lumens and had to have my computer wiped and reinstalled. Before doing this I created a QR code of my account and can access the key in it via a QR reader. However, the QR code opens with {"stellar":{"account" and then a load of code and I can't find anything that starts with S to indicate that it's my PK. I used a Password when I originally opened my account. I'm needing to know how I can use this QR code to export my account and Lumens into the new wallet? Any help would be much appreciated as I am worried that I cannot reinstate my wallet and Lumens.

smartnsue If you used password protection the private key is encrypted. Remove password, and try again.

dzham Thanks for your reply. How do I change my password if I can't access my original wallet?

As my computer has been wiped and I'm starting over again as it were, is it possible to remove the password if I can't access my original wallet? Would appreciate your advice.

If you have the QR code, then scan that with Stargazer, that's what it's for.

I've tried that and get a PK that doesn't start with 'S' - I guess it must be an encrypted version as when I type it in, it doesn't allow me to activate it to retrieve the account. It seems like a chicken and egg situation - I can't activate my account without the PK which is encrypted on the QR code because of the PW and I can't extract the encrypted key unless I can access my original account to deactivate the PW and create another non-encrypted QR code! Have I got that right? If so am I scuppered as my computer with the original account has been wiped or is there something else I could do? Again all the help I can get would be appreciated.

smartnsue I think what dzham is trying to say is that you should be able just to scan the QR code, not type in. Doesn't matter that it is encrypted. Once you scan it you are going to be able to remove the password. But maybe you can only scan it by installing Stargazer on your phone. I didn't use this wallet for some time now so I'm not sure about the exact process.

I have a similar problem with stargazer wallet. I have previously saved secret key of the wallet, which starts with "S" symbol. When I type this key into new wallet on another computer I`m getting an empty wallet with 0 balance. Can anyone help with this issue? Thank you!

What does it look like on any of the blockchain explorers? E.g., stellarchain.io, stellar.expert, steexp.com If it's zero there too, then someone stole your funds by hacking you or phishing you

dzham I totally deserve your reply. I cannot apologize enough to you, please forgive me! You have been a great help to many people, I can see that. I'm really trying to figure this one out. Maybe my next question will be more rational and I will be oh so careful with my words.Again, I am so sorry that I was so rude. I did upgrade to 1.7 but still not able to send out. I'll keep working on it.

Have you tried import your stargazer account yet? Do you know your Stargazer account seeds? It would also help if you also know your Stargazer account number, the long letters and numbers (alpha-numeric). Keep trying with all the options with the Stargazer 1.7, even try it with your phone's Stargazer app. You can't send and receive, or recover your lumens to your Stargazer until you have successfully import it. 😀

dzham Hello there just need a little help. I had stargazer 1.5.3 years back and have a qr code to import my wallet but the new stargazer app does not have the option to scan qr code,,,, any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Again!

AlexNeiberg Hi, I too had a desktop stargazer 1.5.3 and I could not send because the signature page was not working. The solution for me was to download the stargazer wallet mobile app which is on a newer version. When I tried to export the desktop account to the mobile app I also did not see a QR code. For some reason, when i clicked on the use private key, then exited that page, a third option to use QR code showed up !!😮

I was then able to import the account using the QR code to the mobile wallet, and the send functionality worked just fine.

dzham Dude, can you help me out? I am at a similar scenario, used Stargazer to keep my xml years ago, and back than I had a Secret Key or something similar to that. Now Im trying to acess my wallet, but nothing happens when I try to import it. Back then there was no QR code option.
