Great product!!!
Introducing HODLDeck - POS device to accept XLM in retail
BlackMac If its cheaper than Pundi X / NEM Alliance, we are all for it. We were looking for a blockchain competitor who can go up against them. Their hardware is proprietary and expensive rip off
savebattgo What do you estimate the cost of each unit approx?
savebattgo I will offer preorders (unfortunately some parts might not arrive until the end of SBC) for a Kit with 3D printed case for 29,99€ plus shipping. Sourcing the parts from china (excluding shipping and the case) will cost approximately 10€ - you might get them form eBay for ~15€
A commercial preassembled device will require some certification and much more overhead, so I expect it to be around 60€. Since anyone in china can build their own version of it there might be much cheaper options though.
BlackMac Hi! Are these kits still available? I would like one. I know the owner of a very busy coffee shop that might want to give this POS a shot. Previously, we've been talking about retro-fitting a regular POS to accept XLM and other altcoins. How much for shipping it to New Jersey in the US? Thanks.
The new display arrived and I needed to update the case. It is not perfect yet, but there has been progress and I am 3D-Printing the next version of the case today.
Fully assembled, exactly the same as the kit I am going to ship.
The website has been updated and the kit is now available for preorder!
HODLdeck is still progressing two days before the SBC finishes...

This is perfect for shops looks fast and effective. You did a lot of research and this will be a great product to introduce Lumens as a way to pay increasing the Stellar Market place. I would advise you connecting with big chains that can support purchases with Lumens. The IT market is a good start like Silicon Valley in USA . Here are some ideas of other places as well.

StellarEconomy I will have to start in Düsseldorf (Germay) where I'm based, after all HODLdeck is just a sideproject. I am very happy if anyone helps promote it somewhere else though. Thank you for the feedback.
I am preparing the How To booklet that can be downloaded and comes with the kit.

I am looking forward to ship HODLdeck to all of you.
Here is the first prototype of what the kit might look like when it arrives:
Another Update
All the hardware for the first three kits has arrived from China. While the recipients for the first two kits have already been chosen the last one will be chosen from those who tweet the most compelling reason why I should send them the kit.
Please tag @hodldeck ( https://twitter.com/HODLdeck ) in your tweet and follow, so that I can send you a PM and ask for details.
Oh... and by the way, I ordered a handful of these:
Pretty cool. I have 50 Raspberry Pi Zeros that are just waiting to be used for a project, think I found a use for one lol.
