Tellus - the Irene Energy platform token
The Tellus token has been created to carry out transactions on the Irene Energy platform. This token is based on Stellar, which was specially designed to enable micro-payments.
Thanks to the micro-payments feature, Irene Energy is able to monitor the renewable electricity available from producers in real time, and thus to guarantee to consumers the type and the exact source of electricity in real time.

People who buy Tellus tokens will be able to use these to pay for their future electricity bills. They can also resell them at any time on the exchanges offering the Tellus token.
Thanks to the features enabled by the Stellar Blockchain, Tellus is compliant with existing financial regulations (Know Your Customer and Anti Money Laundering screenings via Trulioo in the primary and secondary markets).

The team includes three polytechnicians, three MBA from INSEAD and one École Nationale d'Administration alumnus. The founder has worked in the energy sector for over 10 years- for BCG, Bank of America and Lazard Bank. The advisors come from EDF and the crypto community.

The team is currently located in Paris and London.

RoadMap
Partnerships with renewable energy players have already been validated (for example with owners of wind farms for 50 MW in France and aggregators) and Irene Energy is currently developing consumer and producer communities in France and England.
The launch of the activity in France is scheduled for the end of 2018.

Security
We observe that current ICOs are subject to hacking, including KYC data theft and fraudulent ETH addresses.
At Irene Energy, the KYC process is conducted through Trulioo, one of the world's leading identity verification companies.
Regarding the ICO, Telli will be available as sell orders on the Stellar Exchange, hence with virtually no counterparty risk.
